Is it true that meinl cymbals are made by laser. Is it good quality?

I dont believe it either ... saw and ad from someone who wants to sell his meinl cymbal and hihats... he told me the word "AAmeinl by Lazer" is written on the cymbals.

So i wanna check it out whether its true ...

Back in the 80's and early 90's, Meinl do produced beginner cymbals which is called Laser. It's no more in production.
