I just received a project proposal to sponsor a local Singapore band to shoot an MTV. The requirements are for the lyrics to be original and to have a meaningful storyline behind why you write the lyrics that way. The MTV shoot will be in 2-3 weeks time.

At the moment, we are scouting for individual original songs with good lyrics along with fantastic storyline behind it.

It was great that we have the previous meetup and I briefed most of you on the MTV item in which we will be supporting a band/solo artiste for a music video shoot.

This is an opportunity for your original song to be screened in a professional Music Video format. We are liaising with industry players for this rare sponsored chance to showcase your talent professionally.

There will be an audition this Friday (17th July) at the Singapore Art Museum. 7pm-9pm, in which 6.30pm is the registration. A semi-acoustic guitar, digital piano and P.A. system will be present. Some important slight changes to this Friday's (17th July) event at Singapore Art Museum (SAM):

1.) The auditions will be taken place in a more private mode. As this is a public event and co-organised by another group, we will not be openly drawing attention on this audition.

2.) Simply register at 6.30pm onwards for your songs (limited up to 2) and performance. This is an open mic event so you can freely express your own original song for this purpose too.

3.) During the event, you will showcase your talent along with your original song.

4.) After your performance, you can then approach me - Jerry (for those who did not meet me before, I will be wearing a formal brown top and bottom jeans...and yes I wear frameless specs). But alternatively, I may approach performers that day after your performance.

5.) Kindly bring your lyrics, music scores, the story behind your song and studio recorded version of the song if you have so.
