A great new place to get nice cheap cds!!!

Hey just thought i'd share with those unaware that at Shaw Tower (Beach Road) where old Prince/Jade cinema is, there this place 01-50/52 right in front called ST Music World. You can find lotsa cheap good cds at 12.90 there....i've seen stuff from stereophonics to travis to the coral to jazz to classical.....rock, dance etc. Not latest release but good enough stuff.

so check it out folks....here's your chance not to be a cheapass downloader and PAY for music!!!!
 
Thanks, i've been wanting to up my cd collection recently .. So long since i bought a nice cd ... down with people who use mp3 players ..

is it the shop with the neverending cd sale?
 
not sure if it stated 'sale' or what but it does have signage to say stuff is bargain etcetc (i think).

as for downing pple w Mp3 players (haha) i know pple who buy lotsa cds/lps then transfer to ipod/iriver etc to carry around, so they're cool. it ain't your equipment its your mindset that matters!!!!

i saw some old metal titles by ac/dc, accept and others but cant remember...but check it out dun let another good store go under!

sorry im not too sure, but selling $12.90 per cd at a place like shaw tower isn't quite feasible... but of course i am no business guru so i may be wrong...

U may not exactly end up with the cheapass downloader tag, but probably not as someone who pays for the music either. I've seen certain places in Singapore selling "licensed CDs" that are manufactured for the chinese domestic market, as well as pirated CDs which look just the the real ones, and of course those aren't exactly legalized here...

Not putting a pighead outside this shop, just sharing that there are such CDs selling here. Cheers.
 
the stuff there is legit, probably excess catalogue items. in other words the cds have probably already been paid for long ago and this is a kind of clearance shop. part of the joy of buyin music is the hunt and finding a nice bargain, but at least you bother. unlike just sitting in front of screen happily mouseclicking watever away and pointlessly downloading a billion songs which you will never listen to properly.
 
hi the only places i know who shld pay better rates would be gramaphone at scotts basement and this shop at marina sqaure 2nd floor. but if u want really good prices would suggest you might as well advertise online yrself, as i can't see these guys payin more than 8 bucks for good condition stuff.....i've sold to gramaphone before i dun think i got more than that per cd....but i jus wanted to clear w/o hassle and they will take most of what u offer.
