A Good Complete Set of drums to start with

heya guys.im thinking of getting a complete set for myself just to jam with my friends when they come over.What sets can i get with the price range ard $500?

$500, you should be able to get a decent entry 4pc drumset

I seriously don't recommend DD-65. It looks more for sound engineers to create music, or for kids to start with drumming.

Do read around abit regarding volume issues in case of neighbour complaints =P

haha truth be told. a GOOD COMPLETE set is kinda impossible with that budget. however it depends on what u mean by goood and complete. if you wan a set with like zildjian sabain or paiste cymbals. sorry wun work. as the cost of these cymbals cost at least 300+ for a entry level set. and a drum set. now price of drumsets have risen quite a fair bit. if you consider calos as good enuff for you, then you can try calos which cost maybe 600? i think they come with some cheapo cymbals too. not sure. but yea.

even carlos' prices have risen quite abit; checked them out at ranking recently for the same purpose. i believe 2nd hand deals for drums are always the best consideration; they can't have been that worn and torn, and it'd be mostly for home practice anyhow. saves a ton of cash.

hey. if you're not in a rush to get a drumset, why not do some more research, like, surveying shops and looking at drumset prices. there are plenty of shops in singapore. plan and invest. plus, during the period of researching, if you save money at the same time, you'll end up with more money, so then you can look at a wider range of choices. :mrgreen:

Im planning to get a drumset for the exact same purpose as you. But a guitarist like me know nuts about drums.

I went yamaha at TM just now and they had this promo set for 830$. Looks pretty decent, but i guess it exceeds your budget. And likewise mine too. =S
