i was wondering if there's any shop or perszon thats buying 2nd hand bass/guitar and selling them?

just curious...

Guitar connection, Guitar 77, BGW, Swee Lee (For vintagey stuff)

I think you can get the best 2nd hand deals on soft, seriously.

byleft seems to be closed for the past 3 months.
anyone knows why?

This is exactly what I wanna noe as well. apparently, Terrence's number is not in service. My cousin has his guitar there and he has yet to get it back, all cos the shop was closed for the past 3 months.

I think everyone seems to be forgetting guitar connection. There are 2nd hand stuffs there, too. But there are also some news of scams or stuffs at guitar connections, which i won't comment on since i've never experience one.

Guitar77 and guitar connection are total rip off.

Selling a mij fender P bass for 1.4k, far from a good deal. And forget about guitar connection. They were selling an artec pedal for $100 USED. Whereas opposite their shop, you can get it MINT for $80 at tymusic. Joke.

Soft.com.sg classified is about as cheap as it gets. Or else you can try talkbass.com's classified. Including the shipping and whatnot, its still cheaper than g77 or gc, plus you get a wider selection aswell.

If every musical instrument there was overpriced, they'd be out of business a long time ago don't you think? Also, there is the option of negotiating.

You'd be surprised how much the loaded folks can pay for a guitar that are worth less than their market value. Plus, I imagine they only earn a portion of their income from actual sales of the guitars. They provide luthier service as well.

And trust me, I have tried negotiating. While its possible to lower the price down abit, I have never seen a similar instrument sold on soft for a higher price than those sold in used guitar stores. If you have cash to spare, and really dig a certain instrument they have on sale there then I say go for it. However, if you want a 'value-for-money' deal, I say look elsewhere.

Hi, there is a shop called novelty music in Selegie Park lane mall basement, just beside macdonalds, they are selling guitars, bass guitar, and occasionally some drums :) cheers!

Not exactly true. Life is not like a template where everything works the way you think it does. I've gotten good deals from these stores before. Thing about them that I've noticed is that they don't always follow the market price. If they get their stuff cheap, they too would have the tendency to sell it cheap.

Example, I bought my Ibanez TS-9DX for only $100 from guitar connection. overpriced? far from that. I did as Kelvin why he priced it so cheap and all he said was that his cost was low. I felt that was a cool gesture for being honest.

Never generalise things, you wouldn't know what you are missing out.
