2nd hand 1 year old fenders highway 1 strat!

brand new I think the price is close to 1k. second hand depends alot on the condition and the various modifications done to it.

if it is stock though... anywhere betw 800-900.

my 2 cents.

age can somehow mislead too..
just cuz its a yr old doesnt meant its a nice peice.. some guitars (second hand) agedeven younger than that can be pretty quite beat up peices.. and some older peices may even look brand new (with proper care)

true... it got a small dent at the pin that put the strip, a little one.. then the metal part on the body that support the strings got abit rust too... offer me SGD800... fair?

rust, can be cleaned(i think), if its a 1cm diameter dent, 800 bucks should be ok... however, when i buy 2nd hand guitars, the bridge doesn't really bother me, unless its SUPER rusty...

check the neck joint for cracks, try out the electronics for any faults..

try find any small fault n see if its worth the gamble..

800 good grab but still mus weigh ur other factors..

is the feel good??? are you happy with the neck??

there is always risk when buying second hand guitars..

and think .. there must be a reason for it being offered at the price stated..

are they stock pickups?

800's pretty good.. yeah, rust should be able to be cleaned but a little rust doesn't bother me much, personally..

I'd say 600 - 700 to be fair. 2nd hand items usually have 50% resale value and below.

a reputable guitar with a matching brand name will be worth more than half its price in the after-market, however, this is too subjective. it all depends on the circumstances- condition being the primary concern.

Gibson & Fender retain at least 70% of their initial prices but it all boils down to the circumstances.
