Dir en grey, X Japan, hide, just to name a few of Gethsemane's music influences.
Early 06', Gethsemane was formed, by 5 friends, passionate, driven, previously chasing their dreams individually or with their respective bands.
The band was formed originally to participate in the recent 06' street festival, but the five had so much rapport, and enjoyed making music with each other so much, the band became a permanent fixture in their lives.
Individually, they have performed at various events. As Gethsemane, they rocked the stage at street festival 06' and S.G.J.R Alliance Bash @ Gashaus in July 06'.

Bands that you guys have not seen during the previous gigs.
NowPlaying
The idea of forming a band started when Marcus (Drums) met Z (Guitar) when they were serving the army. They spoke and soon found they had similar interest musically, Japanese pop/rock music in particular.
Soon, they formed a band playing English radio hits from bands such as Red Hot Chili Peppers, U2, Radiohead and such. The band disbanded soon due to frequent change of vocalists and other problems.
After going on hiatus status for months, Marcus and Z posted a couple of classified ads seeking for new members but nothing seems to work out. Soon Z proposed a different direction, "How about a JPop/rock band? With a female vocalist?"
After several change of members, in late 2005, Zeith (vocals), Hyder (Bass) and Sean (keyboards) joined the band. The 5 piece band was soon covering songs from, Shiina Ringo, GO!GO!7188, etc.
Sometime in March 2006, Zeith left the band and the band carried on without a vocalist for a while. In April 2006, the band welcomes serene to join as vocalist and soon started covering songs from fra-foa, Yaida Hitomi, Do As Infinity and such. Soon, the band started to cover Tokyo Jihen and Shiina Ringo songs extensively.
The band remained nameless for sometime till they met and discussed. They were clueless about what to name the band till Marcus stared at his iPod display screen and the first words he saw was "NowPlaying".

Yup as per normal, the best dressed party animal will be awarded the Black Katana which he or she will hold on to it for 1 month and see if he or she retains their title on the following month's gig!
