There is a quote in Spiderman movie that went something like this:
With great power comes great responsibities.
To add on a little to that in local context, With great responsiblities comes great Stress. Everyone who knows him looks up to him, sees him in every aspect may it be good or bad, he is always seen and critiqued in one way or the other. He has many functions to perform yet he has to try take care of every one as an individual. Being personal, yet protect his privacy. That is not easy.
Most strong leaders are very lonely people, they take care of every one except themselves. When they are discouraged and down, who is there to know? They ask if all that they are doing are worth it, but they perserved for the sake of the cause and their passion.
If we find a fellow friend not being himself, there must be a reason. If we care enough, let's us go up to him at a good time and offer a listening ear. The fact is many of us are not good listeners or listeners who don't judge.
If we don't care, the least we can do is not to pass any judgemental statements on him. We will never please everyone, but that does not mean we get stuck up and not listen to what people say about us, because it might be true, then we need to be aware and change.
Sometimes we are not aware that we are wrong until we are told. But we will prefer people coming to us in love and tell us nicely. Don't we?
The world is already so wicked and cold, why do we have to contribute more into it? Who else will take care of us if we don't take care of one another? What goes around comes around.
Also, there is a time to make comments like this, definately not on one's birthday.
The beauty of musicians is that we are speaking a language that cross every borders, not bound by spoken language or geography but let us be bound to one another to speak the language of our hearts, love. Unless we have none, that will be so sad.
Let us be known for a people of love. Let us be a force that will shake the foundations of the music scene here. If we want to see things happening, then lets stop bickering about one another.
Enough said. We are are mature, understanding individuals who knows these things. So I will say these only once.
