This is a stunning Ovation. Deep, articulate – not the normal “tinny” Ovation sound. Sounds very similar to my Taylor 614 – really clear, precise lower tones with great mid-range. The electronics are amazing, I have never heard an Ovation sound so natural. It has California Flamed Redwood top with the thickest slab of ebony I have ever seen on a fingerboard. Look at the pics. Really nice neck, great size and not glossy – nice oiled feel. I have the original certificate of authenticity. I read that this series was supposed to be 800 units, but they ran out of choice wood for the tops so they brought it down to 400 units. Quite rare.
