Nikko Has Music
Nikko hails from Singapore; the sunny little island, cosmopolitan business hub...a country the size of a dot on the map but with a myriad of food choices and endless shopping destinations.
Growing up with a mixed music culture, from the Classic Oldies to Canto Pop, Retro to Brit Rock, Singaporean folk songs to American Top 40s, there's no lacking in inspiration in this vibrant garden city.
"Life is what you make of it." Going by this personal motto, Nikko has always followed her heart. She wrote her first song at the age 7 about the happy life of Smurfs, and rekindled her love for song-writing at 15 after she tinkered on an old classical guitar belonging to her dad. She used to play in a band called the 3 Asian Girls, and has a soft spot for musicals, having performed in a few school productions. Nikko has grown in artistic and emotional experiences and has finally embarked on her musical journey.
A graphic designer by profession, she gets her musical inspiration from her big brother's vast music collection, vivid dreams, imaginative childhood growing up with 3 brothers and the crazy highs and lows of life.
She has recorded 2 songs, Mine In My Mind + Fall When You Call, and is currently working on her debut EP.
Writing songs, playing the guitar, reading, salsa dancing, green initiatives, gardens and babies.
