30+ male, somewhat seasoned on vocals but a little rusty behind the keys 
After a long break (largely due to work), I'm itching to join/start a band with an aim to jam, record and perform again! Maybe post some stuff to YouTube to begin with
I can sing lead and backing vocals (love to harmonise), and can sing from behind the piano/keyboard if needed.
English is my native language, but I have sung stuff (mainly backing vocals) in Mandarin and Japanese. If I can't speak the language, I can still manage if someone transcribes the lyrics into something I can sound-out, like pinyi/romanji
I'd also love to work with someone (DJs and synth-experts!) that can and want to experiment with live sampling and mixing! Two keyboards in a band? A DJ too? Why not?!
I do like trying to cover songs pretty close to the original (to prove that we can!) and then branch out from there to try to come up with interesting things to do in front of a live audience.
Some of my influences and favourite bands include The Beatles, Whitest Boy Alive, Ben Folds Five, Bruno Mars, Maroon 5, The Killers, Jason Mraz, Jamiroquai, Coldplay, Evermore, Monkey Majik, Ed Sheeran, Daft Punk, Justin Timberlake, Swiss Lips, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Fun, The Script, Gotye, Calvin Harris, The White Stripes, Foster The People, Barenaked Ladies, Gorillaz, The Lonely Island, Flight of the Conchords, Two Door Cinema Club, Empire of the Sun, Miike Snow, and many more!
I also listen to film scores, videogame soundtracks and to a lesser degree, anime stuff.
I started performing in jazz combos and big bands as a pianist back in Perth, Western Australia.
I joined other bands as a vocalist and vocalist-behind-the-keyboards performing English Pop/Rock, Top-40 stuff, and usually ended up as the arranger/transcriber/music director.
When I came to Singapore, I was a teacher at a music school where I got the chance to perform with talented staff and students at various venues including the Esplanade!
