James Goh started out as a percussionist in his secondary school’s concert band when he was 13. Since then, he grew to love drumming and started to play the drums for school events and for his church- Bethesda cathedral at the age of 14. His passion for drums motivated him to take drum lessons under Mr Jimmy Lee at the school of music clef. Drawing influence from professional drummers Jimmy Lee, Steve Gadd, Dave Weckl and many more, James sets out to be as versatile as any of the drummers mentioned above. James goh has been exposed to a variety of genres including jazz, Bossa Nova, pop and rock.
