see, my voice's kinda like pop.. too clear. i wanna have something like nickelback or alter bridge's vocal range, where's low and yet go to a higher octave.. can this be learnt? and how?

i don't know wheter to use my nose lungs throat dighram or what the hell to sing to really sing long verses within a breath.. help pls?
