I grew up as a teen in the hippie days so I was very influenced by the music of the rockin' 70s. Bands like Deep Purple, Uriah Heep, Rainbow, Styx, and many more still rule my LP, CD, DVDs and Blurays collection. By 1990's I slowed down in buying simply because I did not like the bands coming out except for a few like Dream Theatre, Creed etc. Then in 2012, I bought two turntables and brought back life to my small vinyl collection which stayed with me for 30 plus years. I discovered a shop in The Adelpi selling pre-owned records and had since been buying records again. Along the way, I discovered artists and albums I missed out when I was growing up. In my opinion, the music and bands then were way more awesome than the current music scene.
I also own a collection of about 10 guitars consisting of Gibson, Fender, Taylor, Ibanez etc. I am still in possession of my first electric guitar, an Ibanez bought in 1977. I have never played professionally but had a short-lived band in my secondary school days. Nowadays I play more of the acoustic guitar and I play it as a hobby at home and solo. If not for time constraint, I would love to be able to put in more practice time because I rate myself as only an average guitar player.
I am currently self-employed working in the sales industry. I used to work in Engineering then switched to Advertising & Promotion.
