DESCRIPTION
The Yamaha Silent Guitar was developed to allow guitarists to play anywhere, anytime and without limitations. The newer silent guitars are made in Indonesia but this early piece was "Made in Taiwan". I kept this guitar for many years but condition wise, it is still very good with slight user marks. Might need a neck adjustment if you find the action a little high (the original allen key is included for truss rod adjustment).
This guitar is perfect if you want to practice at night but want to avoid disturbing all the people in your household. The feature I love most about this guitar is the fact that I can plug in my headphones, plug in the ipod/iphone/MP3 Player/CD Player and then playback music from my song collection or from Youtube and instantly feel like I'm playing with the band. If you need to gig, this guitar is an awfully convenient/portable alternative to the standard acoustic guitars as it can be dismantled and packed in its original compact-sized gig bag (see last picture). In short, this guitar offers outstanding playability matched with incredible practicality.
