Center Of stage > Sony SR8E Videocamera , where I was filming.

The Sony PC101E acts as a stereo omnidirectional electret condenser room mic.. ok it was NO ROOM, live stage.. but basically to still preserve the "ambient" try to emulate what the audience heard, but clearer with the close miking audio. you can even hear cars horning/ bus brakes / fans whirring. and music from the opposite pasarmalam.
and during the mixing , I increased the highs on the Sony PC101E's audio to act as overheads also, as it picks up the cymbals + crack + resonance of the drumshells from a distance.

i know some of you may ask, that means the Sony PC101E cameras was filming also, multi cam angle? : no it wasn't, I left the cover on, cos i'm only using the "AUDIO". acting as a recorder. I just LOVE the mic on this thing, too bad I have to sell it cos i gotta buy something for recording purposes.

Sony SR8E cam's audio acted as a room mic too, but "center", unlike how the PC101e was on a tripod at the edge of the stage. there's a 5.1 surround mic on this thing, but it can't tolerate high sound pressure levels so most of the kick drums was distorting. so during mixing I EQed off the lows totally, only using the high mids to highs. to fill the center space of the mix.

nothing too technical. enjoy!

50¢ worth.
