REVIEW OF SHANNON LUKE’S NEW SINGLES – OUT OF LINE & MALADJUSTED

Shannon Luke is back at it again. Following his well-received debut album “Qualms of Being”, he has kept with the same successful formula for his two latest releases.
“Out of line” has a familiar 80s vibe and kicks off with an infectious drum track. Luke’s vocal style reminds us of Julian Lennon and complements the pop-ish feel good factor of his music. A great “pick me up” song to be listened to first thing in the morning.
“Maladjusted” is a more somber piece. The musical styling remains pop but the lyrics are darker and hints at the artistes struggles with inner demons and of second chances and of dying. Whether introspective or written for someone else, the track warrants repeated listening to truly understand the message Luke is conveying.
