Need help in choosing an electric guitar with amp

Hi ppl. I'm going move on from acoustic to electric and need help in choosing an electric guitar package (guitar+amp). My budget is 400 maximum (I know its kinda tight but hopefully i can get a decent guitar). Basically i intend to play genres such as j-rock, metal and screamo (killswitch engage, children of bodom, slipknot, bullet for my valentine, silverstein, etc)

Basically, after doing a little research, two guitars caught my attention.
1) Timbre SR200 (http://standardvalue.com.sg/store/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=4)

2) LTD F-10 (http://www.espguitars.com/guitars/ltd-standard-deluxe/f-10.html)

I have read many good reviews and comments about the timbre guitar and it fits into my budget really well. But my primary concern is if it can handle the genres i intend to venture into. I've also read in the internet some people saying that strats are not the "metal" type of guitar. How true is this? Let say if i fit a humbucker into this guitar, can it play metal well?

The LTD guitar seems to be the guitar that can handle "heavier" styles from what i've read. Do they sell this guitar in singapore and if they do, where? What is the minimum price i can get this guitar with an amp for? How much does a ltd f-50 guitar package cost though i think it will bust my budget?

My basic requirements for the guitar is as listed below
1) Can handle the genres i intend to play well
2) Good quality consistently (No uneven frets, etc)
3) Can upgrade in the future to make a better guitar

Currently, it seems like i am swaying towards buying the ltd f-10 guitar. I'm sorry for asking so many questions and being so fussy. Pls feel free to list out some other guitars that is able to suit most of my requirements. After all, the purpose of creating this thread is to get all your valuable inputs. Brand is not important, but the way it plays and sounds is. This time, i want to make a informed choice when buying an electric guitar. Thanks a million in advance!

On first impression tho, it just not right for 'me'. dont like to body shape especially (regardless of how the baby sings). looks uncomfortable and has no floyd on it!

At CM, I've tried both the EG-310 & EG-95. I chose and bought the latter for more bite (& it has a Floyd ... hehehhe). Both guitars goes well with Line-6 spider III 15w amp (w/on-board efx). Check out the review here:

Amp...
You'll need EFX sooner or later. If you dont want to splurge more and/or have no experience with efx pedals, I'd suggest get an amp with on-board efx.

Get down there & test-drive both guitars with the amp of your choice before you cough up the dough. It it feels & sounds right for you, go for it.

If you are on a budget, 2nd hand instruments are the way to go.

For guitars, I would recommend either Ibanez Gio or an entry level LTD. reason being their stock pickups have really high output.

As for amps, I would recommend a Kustom. Good for the price seriously.

You don't really have to get a package because package deals are kinda crappy. straight out of the box stuff usually require a good setup before they can display their full potential.
