Hi, I'm looking to set up a 3-4 piece band and i believe a good bassist is the Key to a linearly tight and full sounding band.
I would like a Bassist who is able to
1. Improvise
2. Play genres ranging from 40s/50s swing to 60s/70s pop to Funk, Rock, Jazz, pop, Math rock, instrumentals etc.
3. Knows Basic Music Theory- for better communication and song writing/reharmonisation, genre shifting
4. Able to read scores/chord chart (for song writing/arranged songs)
5. Able to play by ear (Basic bassline is fine, no worries.)
THAT BEING SAID, You are welcomed to try even if u feel that u are lacking in the above, as long as u are interested, willing to learn and enjoy music!
I will be more than happy to pass on the music knowledge to you.
Songs will mostly be in English.

Song writing ideas are welcomed too.
Audition/trial Jam will be any 3 songs u choose from the list below, and a improv jam in A/F/E but it's ok if u are still not confident in Improvising, we'll do something easy.
You DO NOT need to play exactly the same as the recordings, as long as it matches, it's good enough. (Songs from the list will be auditioned in the original key, so no worries about transposing.)
You won't need to play the whole song, just the the first 1-2 minutes since it usually repeats anyways.
