i own this gadget. juz loving it. but im not good in words on describing how da sound is. sori, but below is a review by a user. enjoy!
I was looking for a classic-sounding fuzz pedal, and being out of cash a little at the time the guitarshop I went to persuaded me in buying this at a reduced price. I payed 20$ then.
I liked the way it's subtly fuzzy at first, but that changed (sorry, this ain't a really happy review).
The combination with other effects just sucks. I mean, you always use these kind of pedals in combination with for instance a Vox wah, or a chorus or anything else...well, that just doesn't work. Somehow, the pedal cannot stand an altered input (like when it's behind the vox it gives about nothing). Also, the pedal outputs a mix of altered sound and original sound, no matter how you turn the knobs. So, if you put something behind it, you don't get every satisfying effects either, often totally losing the fuzzy sound in a longer chain of effects.
The pedal is completely made of metal, the bottom is padded with rubber so it doesn't slide anywhere. The knobs are manipulatable with your foot a bit if you're handy, but I'd like them to be bigger...overall the construction is robust. The batteries last for quite a while, so no real faults here.
If you're looking for a fuzz kinda like Hendrix's and similar , look elsewhere. If you're not and prefer a more bluesy soft fuzziness, you might test it out and like it. I tried it on a Fender Twin in the shop and it sounded a lot better than on my Marshall Valvestate, so maybe that's important too. It's a very warm fuzz tone though, but that wasn't what I was looking for, it just doesn't have enough power and depth imo.
