Control Surface for Mixing

Looking for a control surface for mixing. Logic Pro user.

1) what's your recommendation?
2) will you grab one? Or just mouse will do?

If you have an iPad consider getting 'DAW Remote' from the app store, it uses the Mackie protocol and thus feels ultra responsive.
