Rain - A Vinnie Moore Cover

Here's my take on Vinnie's good old school rock ballad, Rain. Enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IXD5Z-PKTq8

    An '80s-Type Rock Ballad Jam

http://www.yousendit.com/download/TTZrK3BDZ2d3NUtGa1E9PQ A simple jam done using a mix of the OD2 'Orange' and Clean 'Green' on the JVM410H + 1960A + 1960B Cabs. There's not really any climax in the arrangement though. :p

    Quick Funky Jam

Kinda bored - just did this earlier after dinner. Short track, but a fun experimental. :D http://www.yousendit.com/download/TTZtNU1JWlQ4aU5FQlE9PQ

    Keeping Your Fingers Moist

The cold weather and low humidity over here means my fingers as well as the strings get dry easily. Makes for frictional, sucky playing at times. I got around this by mosturising my hands & fingers before I play. Wonder what your techniques are? :D

OM: Meltdown ( A Vinnie Moore Cover!)

I'm not too good doing covers. This is not going to sound like the album's, of course. But it's so very technically challenging, and the insufficiency of frets also mean I have play some passages a different way. Probably won't try VM's songs again! Too scary...

Another Jam Track Recording with the PRS Singlecut...

Here's another rough take I did a few days back. Chord progression can be boring after a while so 1:48 - 3:00 attempts to go slightly off tangent from the main backing track. Not sure if I did the right thing! http://www.yousendit.com/download/Q01Fb24rYStrUmxjR0E9PQ

    Recording on the PRS Singlecut

Never had the chance to whack the bugger until now. YouSendIt - Send large files - transfer delivery - FTP Replacement Pardon the senseless arrangement overall; it's just really fooling around to see how the instrument performs!

    Silly Trashy Blues...:p

New Purchase - Paul Reed Smith Singlecut.

Just bought this. I had been eyeing this and the Gibson Class 5 Quilt Top in cranberry as well, but decided to go for this one, which is discontinued for 2007. Very balanced on the lows and highs and probably one of the most spot-on guitars when it comes to the mid-range. The voicings are one...

    KT Tunstall's Guitars...!

I've got to admit I've fallen in love with her uber-cool looking guitars, like this one. Anyone knows if they're for sale anywhere, anytime? http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/a/a3/Drastic_Fantastic.jpg :p

    My Last Recording in SG!

Here's some silly horsing around with a backing track, before I leave this forsaken land for good! http://download.yousendit.com/98E10BAF56088557 :-D

    OM: Magic GarageBand...!

Just got a copy of GB3 not too long ago and here I am noodling around with one of the Magic GarageBand audition tracks. Just pick your instruments, hit "Audition" and it creates some of the sweetest backing tracks for you! http://download.yousendit.com/15469DD451843A9E

"Sorry, Too Many Page Loads In So Little Time!"

Honestly, this is getting way irritating. I've yet to see any other forums throw an exception message like this and force you to keep refreshing the page. It appears there's a bandwidth problem with this forum. It's not as if the individual kept refreshing the page, but perhaps the problem is...

OM: April Sky (A Vinnie Moore Cover)

I played this song for the prom night during the end of my junior college days and it was really memorable because it was done as a duet with my saxaphonist friend Rahiman. Pardon the pitchy notes, but having adjusted the action my guitar is suffering from some serious intonation problems at...

OM: You And Me And Everyone We Know

Here's something simple and light-hearted which I just did, to sorta round off 2006, which was truly a blast in many ways. The track's has a nostalgic sitcom feel to it, and the tunes are probably very familiar and nothing unusual. It's a quick, repetitive 4-chord job, done in about 3 hours, so...

killinghall's Jam: Phrygian Neoclassical Metal Stuff...

Think this TG track must have been played to death by many. Anyway it's a quick rough take so I feel the flow isn't quite nice in many parts. http://www.smoothstripes.com/audio/phrygian_neoclassical_metal.mp3 http://download.yousendit.com/FB7C1CBA0EDD88EA

killinghall's OM: Yet Another (Bloody Old) Rock Ballad

Worked on this 2 days back...another straight simple chord, old-school rock ballad jam. The whole thing very much ad-libbed and remains to be completed. Backing track created using GB... 6:15 has a malmstee-nish arpeggio hooked to it, which is really quite a joke here, but then again some...

OM: Now I Can Fly (Some Weirdo Bird-Related Rock Ballad)

This song is about the how a little bird grows up, learns to fly, faces the world all alone and in the process of discovering life, encounters hostilities, fights them, wins and comes out victorious in the end. Ok, ok...enough of such rubbish. Hope you all enjoy this. The backing track is...
