Wsup peeps,

I don't usually frequent this forum except during the Delphi Forum days and the last time I posted an update was 7 years ago. Thought I'd touch base with you guys on my current teaching whereabouts just so you can buzz me when the need arises.

I graduated from Berklee College of Music with a Bachlelors in 2001 and have since been giving one on one private instruction in Mandeville Music & Drama and All Music Pte Ltd. As of 2010, I have committed to a 6 day teaching week in Mandeville.

What I've done over the years working with students of varying playing levels was an emphasis on how to practice, transcribe as many tunes as one can take in a methodical fashion and by doing so, acquire chops and decent playing technique from that growing repertoire before I load them up with the academic side of things. The end goal that I hope to impart is that they can learn how to learn. If one can do that, the best teacher comes from within.

My best student is not one that has fingers flying all over the fretboard but a 14 year old rhythmically challenged and tone deaf kid that started with absolutely nothing but can now play Testament all because the right attitude is present.

Those that are keen and wish to get more information about the detailed groundwork that I provide, you can download the syllabus outline from :

Still at Mandeville in United Square. All set up with gear and doing a fair bit of recording for students as well.

Wsup guys,

Here's a short clip from TESTAMENT's "Disciples of the Watch" that I use as a testbed for miking and mixing.

For my students into metal and this being their first audio recording experience, I would get them to double track the rhythm guitars and let the results reveal, how tight or loose the rhythm playing is.

Here's Joni Siiriäinen from Finland and its been good fun having him around for 4 years when he first started off on a clean slate.
