You are really fast Bro..... just like that Kiesel of yours.
Congrats for that amazing looking axe.
I hope 2017 will be better than 2016. It's been a very quiet year for gear photos.
Looks like many Softies are GAS free now:p

Tom Anderson Angel Player in Black Cherry finish - sort of metallic paint with varying shades of dark red under different light.

Thanks man!
:D

That Kiesel looks beautiful. I like the chameleon red on that Tom Anderson as well, a great looking guitar.

Just bought a used guitar. It's a 1988/89 Fender HM (Heavy Metal) stratocaster.

Colour used to be pink, but has aged to a firey orange. Bridge is a Kahler Spyder, stays in tune beautifully.

What a GEM!!!
I remember those 'big hair' days when these Strats were very popular.
Greg Howe comes into mind:p
Congrats and rock on brother!

Thanks, man! Yes, this is the Greg Howe guitar. A very interesting radius, I find the neck more comfortable than my RG Prestige. Maybe I just like baseball bats, lol.

This is so sad. Almost 2 months into 2017 and we are still at page 1.....:(
What's happening to GAS on SOFT?

Wah... already 2 months gone and no new thread?!

Got me a new Limiting Amp pedal from Keeley and a new "used" board from Pedalizer to replace the slightly wider one from JPS.

Oh shoot!!! Tried looking for the thread but didn't see it earlier. Sorry Mod, kindly delete this thread!

Found an interesting Ibanez Prestige 8-string on Carousell, now out of production. Pickups were upgraded to a 57-8 and 66-8.

Far easier to play than I thought it would be.

Seller also sold me an interesting tube screamer pedal, a Seymour Duncan 805. Differs from most tube screamers due to the EQ controls and can get pretty dirty. Using it in front of my amp all the time now.

Also got myself a compact synth so that I don't break my back having to lug around my 10U rack for practice. It's an Access Virus TI Snow, also out of production. Sounds great and is smaller than a magazine cover. Still has the plastic on the screen.

Ibanez RG2228. My one & only Ibanez 8-string. :)

Cool! After getting bitten by the eight string bug and seeing the guitar that the guy who sold me this one had for himself, I really ponied up for my next one. This is it, also bought from a fellow softie.

I keep telling myself that this will be my last guitar purchase for a while. Then I tell myself, "You're lying" :D

I need this!!!!
OMG!
SWEE!

Thanks to Movement Music, I could get my hands on a baritone. Not sure what else is on sale from them, but the service of heading to your house to try their guitars is insane! Or you can try it through their Ceriatone OTS if that tickles your fancy....

This is one of the most fun guitars I've played, and out of the box the setup is magnificent. Truly the best "stock" axe I've played. Also saw three very different players getting absorbed with this guitar playing different styles (pop, ambient, alt rock, djent, blues) and it performed admirably for all.

My friend playing after we made a grab-and-go board concept for the Reverend Descent:

Me playing with volume clean-up and a fuzz:

Still waiting for a Carcosa and Mimiq to arrive from Prymaxe so that I can kickstart my two piece garage blues set-up. Already jammed once with a modified 3-amp rig compared to my intended one, and it worked out awesome indeed!
