If you're familiar with moongel or duct taping your drums, Drumtacs will need no further introduction. Best thing about it though is that its neat, and doesnt melt.
Kill the BWONG while keeping the BOOM, our dampeners can be used as a single tac placed about an inch from the rim that will remove only the high frequency overtones, leaving a deeper focused sound while achieving improved response and attack.
As the Tac is moved toward the center of the drum more frequencies are removed and dampening occurs. Problem drums with a nasty buzz or ring can often be tamed with Drumtacs, or even two, one on the batter head and one on the resonant (bottom) head.
Tacs can even be used on cowbells and cymbals.
