WTS: VanZandt Telecaster by PGM Japan

MIJ Collector

New member
VanZandt Tele made by Professional Guitar Manufacturer in Japan. The neck and neck pocket dates look to be from 2002.

Light 1-piece ash body (3.1 kg), all nitro, VanZandt pickups, all original, just some small finish wear and a couple of minor nitro chips and a little area that looks like buckle wear on the back.

These have no fullerplast sealer coat like Fenders so the finish can be delicate. Comes with the original VanZandt gigbag. Frets are tall vintage and are in great shape with only minor wear.

The neck has a fairly beefy profile but is not an early Tele baseball bat.

Asking $1600.

Whoa...Why so much? Good question! VanZandt guitars are probably not that well known outside of Japan. The teles (http://www.taurus-jp.com/vanzandt/guitar_tlv.html) are 260,000 yen list price. Even used they are usually priced between 150,000 yen to 180,000 yen used for the standard 2-pc body models. They are made by Professional Guitar Manufacturer (http://www.guitarsjapan.com/pgminfopage.html) . Their wood selection and finished instruments are Fender Master Builder quality.
