A unique crossover concert that brings together musical instruments from the East and West.

Renowned Hong Kong fusion band SIU2 weaves together a soundscape featuring the sheng (mouth-blown instrument), sanxian (three-stringed lute), guzheng (plucked zither), piano, bass guitar and drums. The resulting aural tapestry flows seamlessly between East and West, and past and present, while dissolving the borders between genres, creating a new dimension to traditional Chinese music.

Since their debut at the 2008 Hong Kong Arts Festival and the New Visions Arts Festival, SIU2’s unique brand of music has grown, with the band releasing three albums and bringing their music to international stages. They have performed to critical acclaim in Asia and Europe at various music festivals including the Borneo Jazz Festival in 2011 and Bordeaux Music Festival in 2012.
