Hello Everyone :D

I've actually played guitar for around 3 years but I've never actually brought my guitars for a set up :X
Do yáll know where i can get my acoustic guitars Set-up with high playability but at a affordable price?
Have 2 guitars that i need to bring for set-up and im trying to cut down on cost.
Do let me know if you guys have any suggestions!
Anyway, I want to get my Seagull S6 Set-up seems to be having some problems playing it :/

Edit: I only need to setup my Seagull for now as it's really hard to play. anyone knows where i can get a good job done at about $50-60? Like lowering action and setup for high playability. playing bar chord on this guitar is like really tough :/

Hey Ben,
How high is your current setup? (Measure under the string to the top of the fret @ the 12th fret)
Optimum height should be around 2.5mm on the low E string. And the high E should be anywhere around the range of 1.9mm to 2.2mm.

You can remove the saddle, draw a line parallel to the base of the saddle and sand it down gradually.
Simple way to calculate how much you need to remove...
H = original height at the twelfth fret
H-2.5= A
Amount to remove from the saddle is A x2.

Do keep the underside of the saddle pependicular to its side.(it should stand upright with leaning either forward or back to ensure a better contact surface with the rosewood bridge if your S6)
And it should flat on the underside. And you're set. The following day, prepare for some truss rod adjustments if the "A" value is quite a bit.

PS : You can variate your sound balance of the guitar by changing the tilt across the saddle. That'll depend on how your guitar needs to be attended to get to its full potential and how it sounds for your ears.

Best wishes...

Spectre? I remember that movie causing me to cab home from town. Ha ha ha... YouTube does have some really good videos to educate ourselves. Anyway, hope your setup works well. Guys who dabble with their guitars make the guitars theirs'.
