guitar preamp tube

Hey alls...

Ive researched abit about the preamp tubes as i think my micro terror or giving a too fizzy gain...
Was thinking about having a smoother gain with more bass...

Concluded that the 12au7 or 5751 will be the choice...

People said that theres a shop at burlington sq sells tubes...
Anyome knows the shop name???

there are two shops that sell tubes at Burlington square, the one I go to usually is called martin electronics

anyway changing the tube to something like a 12au7 may only lower the gain, while the fizziness remains... but no harm experimenting

Hmmm...

Pity that the stock tubes doesnt allow me to go past 2pm on gain without hearing all thise mud n harshness...

What tubes are there to give the low end n heaps of saturated gain..

It's actually common for Orange amps to have that fizz... IMO.

yea I think the issue is with the amp itself as well

anyway from the description "low end & heaps of saturated gain", I think a peavey 5150 / 6505 might be what you are actually looking for
