Fender American Deluxe Jazz Bass Ash V String Description:
Inspired by player feedback on our Precision Bass in the late 1950s, the Fender Jazz Bass debuted in 1960, and has become a staple for players of all genres. It has set the standard for bass tone in the decades since. The J-Bass features the original body radius and contours: slimmer neck, offset-waist body and two single-coil, bi-pole pickups, and offers player-friendly refinements such as detailed fret and nut work, a parchment/black/parchment pickguard and a graphite-reinforced neck with rolled edges.
To enhance tone, American Series basses are crafted from solid, premium ash or alder bodies, depending on the finish you choose. Custom options include maple fingerboards, fretless, and four- or five-string models.
The five-string American Deluxe Jazz Bass V Ash guitar, with its three-band active EQ, pair of SamariumTM Cobalt Noiseless Jazz Bass pickups and 18-volt power supply.
This ash-body bass has a modern C-shaped, graphite-reinforced maple neck with a contoured heel (for easy access to upper frets), five-bolt neck plate, maple rolled-edge fingerboard, abalone dot inlays and highly detailed nut and fret work. Other features include four-over-one-under tuning machine array, two Hipshot string trees, chrome hardware, deluxe chrome-plated steel bridge plate (string-through-body or top-load) with nickel-plated brass saddles, and Fender/Schaller Deluxe Lite-Bass tuning machines.
