Re: Syllabus

Wsup guys,

Here's a short clip from TESTAMENT's "Disciples of the Watch" that I use as a testbed for miking and mixing.

For my students into metal and this being their first audio recording experience, I would get them to double track the rhythm guitars and let the results reveal, how tight or loose the rhythm playing is.

Here's Joni Siiriäinen from Finland and its been good fun having him around for 4 years when he first started off on a clean slate.

Happy hols and a better 2014,

Re: Syllabus

Here's a clip of a classic Jeff Beck standard that I get students to play. A melody that may be interpreted as simplistic even though the execution of playing dynamics can be deceivingly challenging.

Re: Syllabus

Just a short repost and Just a quick update for open slots available in 2021.

Hi there,

A graduate from Berklee College of Music with a Bachlelors in 2001, I have been providing one on one private instruction in Mandeville Music & Drama and All Music Pte Ltd.

With 2 decades of teaching experience, I work with students of all ages, varying backgrounds and playing levels. The main emphasis is on how to practice, transcribe as many tunes as one can take in a methodical fashion and by doing so, acquire chops and decent playing technique from that growing repertoire before I load them up with the academic side of things. The end goal that I hope to impart is for students to find their own path and learn on their own. If one can do that, the best teacher comes from within.

Apart from the rates and teaching schedule, those that are keen and wish to get more information about the detailed groundwork that I provide, please write in to : ohnitsuj@yahoo.com

Let's do some work.

Best,
Justin
