Bascially a thread in which I introduce 3 drummers that others might want to check out.
Firstly, Teto. Also known as Prince Intel when he was in Royal Straight Flush, currently he plays in a screamo/post-hardcore doujin band known as Foreground Eclipse.
What I like of his drumming style: The spirit in which he plays them. Calm and focused for most of the song, but he goes "rage-mode" for a few seconds when the time comes.
Example 1: A very old drum cover of "I can't Beat the Airman", probably done before he joined a band.
Notice how, for most of the song, he's pretty chill. But from 2:50 to 2:54, he puts a lot of energy into his playing.

Example 2: Another old cover of a Miku song I don't know.
For most of the song, again he's just keeping the beat. But from 3:11 to 3:16, there goes speedy clean rolls.

In his most recent videos, he still shows the same energy when playing. Notably in this short footage of Foreground Eclipse playing live, he does the screams and drums with energy.

Secondly, Rojer. He did many covers on Nico Nico Douga (another videosharing website like Youtube, but used frequently by Japanese), and I think he's somehow related to a band called Moebius.
What I like of his drumming style: Clean hi-hat swishes/splashes (will be explained later) as well as "chopping" rolls, where his sticks are clearly even in height.

Chopping rolls that I'd like to learn can be seen in 1:19 to 1:21. Similarly from 1:56 to 1:59, a clean hi-hat "splash" ends a nice roll.

Example 2: Drum cover of Go Go Manaic! from K-On!
He plays with the hi-hat very calmly before rolling from 0:55 to 1:04. More speedy "chopping" rolls from 3:22 to 3:25.

Finally, Toruru (トルル). A drummer I stumbled across, he's done covers mostly of Vocaloid songs. No idea what band he's in.
What I like about his playing style: The showmanship he does without sacrificing on the song. He also plays his kit like he's very, very familair with it, allowing him to know whether certain movements would be possible to execute, or not. Moreover, he's an ambidexterous player, being able to use either the left or right hand for timing.

Practically doing stick twirls throughout the whole song with BOTH hands, as well as stick flips. Headbanging included. The best part of this cover (in my humble opinion) is when he does a full flip before a quick twirl and plays around with the song's beat before fitting straight in from 2:57 to 3:03. Awesome.

In this cover, he shows how he can effectively keep time with either hand on the hi-hat. Despite this beat being relatively simple, the high speed of the song could very well result in unintended flams or ruffs. However, he pulled it off very well, I thought, even adding in stick hit(s) when he could.

Admittedly, there are many other drummers out there that may exceed these three in terms of chops or style. But these three drummers exhibit respective styles that I like, and I thought I'd recommend them to others interested.
