Fund-Raising Sales (For Charmaine)

I'm selling my Ibanez RG321. As long as the buyer's price is close to my asking price (or reasonable), all proceeds shall go to this little girl and her family.

I just found out today about Charmaine. I actually went to school with one of her parents (a long time ago).

I had a maple neck on sale in the forums, I'm donating all proceeds of it for her treatment. (This is the one: http://soft.com.sg/forum/guitar-misc...eck-cheap.html).

She needs to raise a lot of money, so I hope that some other kind souls chip in too! It was very cool for Fandi, Abbas, Rafi Ali and gang to hold a charity match for her too.

i actually wrote to charmaine's fund raising group but its been days and no reply.
I'm donating 100 of my star wars collectibles to her but no news or reply from them.

Anyone had any replies from them before?

I got nothing to donate, but I do have a suggestion. Anyone with contacts can probably get an organiser/studio to rent a place out at no charge. Then maybe gather some SOFT users, play some songs, and raise funds from ticket selling? Publicity-wise, can always get help from the media; Today and The New Paper would be good bets, since it's for a good cause anyways.

The idea might sound too far-fetched and complicating, but if this can be implemented, it would make a good name for the local music society, and most importantly, we get to help someone who is in need.

According to their blog (not the ourfeistyprincess.com main site) it appears that the full $500,000 for the treatment has been raised. Wow! How did they manage to get that $410,000 in 2 weeks? I have newfound respect for Singaporeans.

Seems like Cynthia and kids are putting up in Ronald McDonald House while they're in New York for the treatment. What I'd like to know is, how long are they gonna have to be there?

The Ronald McDonald House website quotes US$35 a night (subsidised already from $270, mind you) so it seems Cynthia will still need some money for this accommodation. Not to mention money for cabs to ferry the sick Charmaine. AND food + daily expenses.
