Default Triggering samples live

Hey guys,

I want to be able to trigger a backing track when playing acoustic guitar live. Looking for something very simple, press a button and a track starts playing.

I've built up backing tracks in garageband so I was wondering if anyone would recommend a specific piece of equipment to do this? I just want to export the mp3 or wav file to the sampler/trigger/pads/??? and be able to fire them off live.

Trying to find something that is stand-alone ... doesn't need the laptop there, also I'm not after a drum machine either. I just want something to trigger the pre-built tracks. Any suggestions appreciated.

Cheers,

Chris

I have a suggestion, its pretty weird though.

You can export the track and put it in some MP3 player, have it connected to the mixer. Play that song as per normal, it will work as a backing track with no problem.
