Introduction: Himmelstrutz Elektro Art is a Swedish effects company where every single pedal is 100% handmade... Talk about boutique!
Here's a brief introduction of the maker...
"As rockers uses artist names I do the same. My name is C. J. Himmelstrutz. Why? To honour the great author Sture Dahlström.
It all started 1976, at 12 years of age. It was a saturday when I heard the intro of Thin Lizzy's Jailbreak on the radio. What a riff! What a sound! I was trapped immediately and had to start to play guitar the same year.
In line with that I soon also started to play with electronics — as the sound was at least as important as the actual playing.
My first amplifier was built 1982 and here we are now."

FETTO Standard Distortion Pedal
FETTO Standard is an overdrive/distortion pedal in the Marshall league. It generates rough overdrives / distortions, rich in harmonics.
This pedal is evil in a pleasant way and very tube-like. This has been said many times before by pedal makers but with FETTO it's also easy to get a creamy, crunchy distortion on low volumes. It's definitely a good choice if you like old Marshall-type-of amplifiers and need to push it a bit harder. It's also a very good choice if you play on a clean amp which may need a distorted but still uncoloured tone!
You will get good string separation, all the way from smooth overdrive to heavy distortion. And you will never lose the character of your instrument or amplifier. It's also designed to match the volume control on your guitar just perfect. Many pedals sounds just like the name says: like a pedal. That's not the case with FETTO, which sounds like an extension of your amplifier. Did you hear this before? Well, this time it's true.
Last but not least, FETTO Standard has several adjustments hidden under the bonnet, so it can be tailored and fine-tuned to match its users taste and equipment. AND it also works very well in company with Miss Nutcracker and Under Over.

Miss Nutcracker: Dynamic Opto Booster
The beautiful Miss Nutcracker was presented for the first time in 1992 in Cyklonmannen, a novel by the the great Swedish writer, Sture Dahlström. One of Miss Nutcrackers many aptitudes was as a harp player.
2007 she is back in a new shape, now as a guitar pedal. A guitar pedal which can be used to push your amp, or your overdrive / distortion pedal into new, nutcracking dimensions.
The Miss Nutcracker pedal is a full range booster with a built in, adjustable opto compressor. With an approximate 0-30 dB gain range, coupled with the soft and well balanced compressor, many exciting sounds can be achieved. When the compressor "Comp" knob is set to zero, the compressor is disconnected and doesn't affect the sound at all.
Miss Nutcracker will always give you a bit of sparkle, a bit of 'air' by adding more or less harmonics. But don't worry, these harmonics are nothing but musical. Very nice indeed.
Bass players should also look here, cause she also likes bass guitars as well as playing with FETTO — Miss Nutcracker can be placed both before or after with very good results!
Under Over was presented for the first time in 1977. In that time as a deaf-mute music critic in Den Galopperande Svensken (The Galloping Swede), a novel by the the great Swedish writer, Sture Dahlström.
2008 he's back again — this time not at all deaf-mute. He is here in form of a multi harmonic booster for guitars, ready to roll.
The Under Over can be used for many different purposes. It can boost your guitar when it’s time for a solo or if you want to push your amp into overdrive. It’s also great between your guitar and your favorite overdrive or distortion pedal. Our FETTO pedals loves to push and to be pushed by the Under Over!
Multi harmonic what?
This pedal will add air to your music, it breathes. It's equipped with three external knobs: 'Under', 'Over' & 'Out'. With the 'Under' control you add the amount of low end that you need. Or if your sound has too much low end then just turn the control down to clean up. With the 'Over' control you set the not so uncritical midrange. Turn it down to get that hairy & scooped hard rock or heavy metal sound. Or if you are lost in the band mix, then turning it up might be a good idea — or set the Under & Over controls low to use it as a treble booster! Finally the “& Out” knob will handle and add a nice shimmer to your 0 to +30 dB signals! All together, with the internal 'Top' (treble) trimmer included, this makes the Under Over an unique 'multi harmonic' booster.
By the way, we tried out the Compressor (Miss Nut-Cracker; right in picture)
and frankly speaking, it's one of the best we've ever heard! Don't just take
our word for it... Come try them out for yourself!
Hi Edwin, we can perform a variety of mods on the DS1. Be it the commonly requested Keeley or Monte Allum mods, or our in-house "Meat Lover's" mod. We can also do custom mods according to what you require.
Our "Meat Lover's" mod essentially removes the harsh fizziness of the DS1. The clipping diodes are changed to give a more natural tube like crunch that's very responsive to your playing and touch sensitivity. We also fine tune the EQ of the pedal such that the distortion tone is as beefy as its name suggests. Now the pedal is capable of delivering tones ranging from smooth bluesy overdrive to smouldering Marshall tone.
We urge you to bring your stock DS-1 to compare side by side with our modded ones, before you decide.
In our efforts to promote our "Meat Lover's" mod, we will price it at $40 only!
Much cheaper than our Keeley/MonteAllum mods. Waiting time is 1 - 2 days.
