Subdecay Prometheus - Resonant Filter

Estimated arrival - Sep 08

The Prometheus is a voltage controlled 12dB filter which can be manipulated by playing dynamics or an internally generated signal.

What's it do?

The Prometheus is everything you've ever wanted in a filter pedal.

* Loads of headroom
* Reasonable size (measures about 3.7x4.7 inches)
* Highpass, Bandpass, and Lowpass filtering with adjustable intensity (resonance)
* Forward and reverse envelope following
* Sample/Hold step filtering based on 3 different wave forms.
* No special power supplies required. Operates with a single 9 volt battery or standard 9 volt adapter.

All that and it has some "hidden features" as well.

* The LFO rate can be adjusted to run much faster than the the step rate. This can be used to create very interesting arpeggiation.
* The Depth knob can push the filter cutoff frequency outside of the audio range. This can be useful to create a slow attack effect.
* The step rate can be turned up high enough for smooth modulation. This can be used to create and autofilter effect, that can sound similar to a phaser or tremolo.
* A fixed filter effect is possible by turning the depth knob down all the way, and using the Frequency knob to set the filter cutoff.

Catalinbread Valcoder Repeat Percussion Tremolo

Estimated arrival - Late Sep 08

The Catalinbread Valcoder Repeat Percussion Tremolo Pedal adds to the massively successful 'Bantam Series' - Hyperpak, V8 Fuzz, Serrano Picoso, and Ottava Magus - the Valcoder is Nicholas's interpretation of the cool trem effect found on Zep's 'Down By The Seaside' from their album Physical Graffiti.

The Valcoder is basically the Semaphore Tremolo's square wave setting. Tre cool.

In the maker's own words: "The Valcoder was designed to replicate the square wave tremolo sound that was available from the old Valco-designed amps of the 1960s. What the Valcoder has over those older units is an additional Depth control that the amps lacked — so you can get shallow and shimmery type tremolos as well as the full-on machine gun staccato choppy stuff.

The Speed knobs range extends further than most other tremolos out there too — from super slow 'I shouldn't have drank all that cough syrup! 'pulses to pseudo ring mod/delay ping tones at the max settings.

If you have onboard soft amp tremolo already, the Valcoder can offer you a totally different flavor that still sounds amp-like and natural — all stuffed into our cute little Bantam Box enclosure."

Default Aguilar ToneHammer - Preamp/DI box

TONE HAMMER

Estimated arrival: Mid to Late Sep 08

This preamp/direct box is so strong and powerful it could only be called the "Tone Hammer"! Based on the respected OBP-3 preamp, the Tone Hammer features fully sweepable midrange frequencies in addition to bass and treble controls. To give this tone shaping unit the ultimate flexibility we are introducing our proprietary Adaptive Gain Shaping circuitry (AGS). AGS allows the player to kick in an additional gain structure and EQ with the "stomp" of a button. You can now go from modern slap sounds to vintage or overdriven.

18 volt operation gives the Tone Hammer plenty of headroom to reproduce the most dynamic playing style. Separate "Gain" and "Master" controls allow you to dial in just the right gain structure for any instrument.

The Tone Hammer is the essential preamp/direct box for every bassist's tool box.
