how you know i have a blackstar???
lol!
anyway it rocks.... cant rock more... open sounding with tight bass... can get anyway where from overdrive to heavier stuffs by rolling off the volume knob... or said sensitive with volume and picking... transparent and respond clearly with pickups... as in doesnt cover the sound...
for me i use it mainly for heavy rhythm licks...
do try out though

the blackstar is good stuff for hard rock. alot of harmonics, great for screaming solos. and you can dial in a thick, almost fuzz-like bottom end with the 'lower drive' knob. i like the lower drive knob. it's very tweakable, esp when used together with the 'upper drive' and the tone knob which gives very good range of usable frequencies.
maybe not so suitable for modern metal, as it is not heavily compressed. but that depends on your taste...
i like it.
and i got it direct from subdecay for just slightly more than what TYMC is retailing it for. so for those who want to give it a shot, this is a safer, cheaper way. kudos to these local boutique gear stores. keep it up, guys.

Curious - does the Blackstar sound Black Sabbath/Tomi Iommi?

that blackstar i find it very versatile and say its heavy but i dont like it heavy as those compressed over the top like certain pedals these days are made
the blackstar more like a vintage metal... 80s?
i believe
