DTXplorer to laptop to Altec Lansing speakers?

Hi guys. I'm posting this due to lack of knowledge with sound system and that I've heard plugging electronic instruments can damage computer speaker if it doesn't meet the power requirements or something like that.

Here's the brief specs on the power:
* 143 Watts Total Continuous Power (RMS)
* Front Satellite Speakers:
o 35.5 Watts / Channel @ 4 ohms @ 1 % THD @ 110- 22000 Hz (-3db) 2 Channels Loaded
o 45 Watts / Channel @ 4 ohms @ 10 % THD @ 80 - 22000 Hz (-3db) 2 Channels Loaded
* Subwoofer:
o 42 Watts @ 4 ohms @ 1% THD @ 28 - 190 Hz (-3db) Single Channel Loaded
o 53 Watts @ 4 ohms @ 10% THD @ 25 -200 Hz (-3db) Single Channel Loaded

So.. now I have this speakers/subwoofer to my computer and I'm planning to plug the DTX module to my ASUS M9V laptop which is connected to my speakers. Will it affect both my laptop and speakers in any ways?

Hey! Nah... it wouldn't be an issue since an active speaker system like yours has already had the amplifiers mated with the speakers, thus the matching is done so that the amps power output matches the speaker's power handling capabilities. Moreover, the high power output of ur speaker's amp would prevent the burning of ur speakers due to clipping distortion as well...so theres no worries... =D
