Red face what gear shd i get if i m playing metal genre?

i m quite confuse on what gear to get...for me i m just wanna learn the basic stuff for the keyboard first for example chord fingering, scalling stuff etc..basicly i m quite new..a noob keyboardist lol..i still remember theres a time i went to city music to ask..wat kind of keyboard for a beginner like me shd get?..den the guy asked me..wat kind of music genre i m into...i say i more to metal/ rock style...i was scolded by that guy..he say i shd get a piano lesson!!! ( to be honest piano lesson are damm expensive)...i couldnt afford it =(...that y i learning online, videos..(on my own)...hhmm...so guys wat do u have to say?? which beginner gear shd i get for a noob keyboardist like me..lol..

if u want to learn basic piano/ keyboard, probably you should just get a starter keyboard from casio with the notes/ chord/ arpeggios display functions...

if you're talking metal sound-wise, there's 2nd hand older-model synths like starting at $250...

mm6 on sale at yamaha... $760... has real-time knobs and pitch bend/ modulation... if you can afford it, maybe a foot controller would help too...

if u can afford straightaway the mm6 is good buy... or else just get a 2nd-hand anything to practise first is good enough... then you can save up for something really worth having

ok..thx bro for ur tips and comment..it is quite useful....at least roughly i can plan wat to get for myself...ok any tips and comment from others?? =))
