for those whos into gaming and tweaking knobs on effect/synth(virtual and real world), this thing finally came about couple weeks back for its launch..

As much as its a gaming console, theres lotsa things which can be done with it to make music. The ds 10 just another one added to the line up.

Its lotsa fun and anyone with a bit time/experience using sequencing program, drum machine programming etc, the ds 10 wont be too difficult to tweak before getting something musical outta it.

Right now theres only japanese release, but everything is in english within the program and there shud not be any problem playing with it.

Pocket size synth, sequencer and super mini kaoss pad(yes, theres a scaled down kaoss pad feature within it as well..) anyone?

looks sweet , like an handheld version of an oldschool ms-10 or ms-20 !
if it can make the same kind of sound, that would even be better.

wonder if Roland could make a DS version of a 808 or 909. now that would be the bomb

technakhol: theres a homebrew program done by someone that do those 808/909. But its quite a simple one, cant really tweaked much. On psp, theres a psp rhythm homebrew(latest version title which can do a better job and much more things in it. That one is quite fun also, can arrange entire songswith it and lotsa things to tweak plus lotsa sound files available online to play with.

heh, kerplunk, get a ds lite then! Theres guitar heros game on it as well. It come with a hand controller which can be slotted into the ds lite console to tap on it

Aye, 18th me on broken baby grand piano + sampling + audio processing... Zul covering analogue synthesis... The only synthesis I'm doing is possibly max/msp synthesis. We doing improvisations so don't know what will come out. Will pass you shomething on 18th :P
