Default MIDI/Synth recommendation

Hi All,
I am looking at getting a keyboard that would allow me to
- connect to a computer to record and to utilize the numerous freeware VST and VSTi. OR
- Analog synth with a lot of tweakable patch to suit my needs. 37 or 49 keys.

My budget is around $800 to 1K+ thus a Virus is out of the question. I am looking for this keyboard to make electro/dance/new wave type of music. Would prefer a

Currently i am looking at
- Novation X station
- Novation Remote SL
- Nord Lead
- Nord Wave
- Korg Radias

I am currently using a m audio (no x-Y pad, not much knob to tweak...hahahha)and have played with a microkorg(the mini key is a bit......). Thus i am looking for new one to inject some fun into my life.

Appreciate if any of you guys/gals could help me make a decision.

Given your requirements, the Novation X-Station will suit you best. No doubt about that and also Sinemax now carry the Novation products at a much more cheaper price than Resolution.

yes nord lead does have its own distinctive sound...but its kinda hard to get it locally...and its not very economic to have it imported. Hey, but Luke Chen is selling his Nord Lead One...pretty good deal...you should go check it out...
