Default keyboard speaker/amp for home use

Hi, i have a CP33 keyboard which doesn't have a built-in speaker. Would like to get one. Any recommendations pls? Price range preferably below $300. Its for home use so something not too powerful or bulky. thanks!

You don't need an amp. You need a pair of stereo speakers. Yamaha MS series (MS202) are relatively low priced and OK for your needs. M-audio also has some low cost stereo monitor speakers (from Sinamex). NEAR speakers are also quite affordable with OK performance.

If you're not too fussy, You could use PC speakers.. you just need a converter for that available at simlim square.

Most PC speakers are not defined enough for keyboards. It will be a waste for CP33.

I guess not all PC speakers are suitable. If you happen to have a set lying at home you could get the converter and try.. low cost solution.. or get a keyboard amp eventually

As I said, amp is not necessary for the home situation. Esp for keyboards. Amps are too loud, not stereo, and not defined enough for keyboardists at home. For stage, OK. Monitor speakers is the way to go.

yes...monitor speakers is the one...amp is too big....actually pc speaker is ok if it is well made....do not overlook the capability of PC speakers.....

If your budget is below 300...you can consider buying Yamaha MSP series..the MSP3, if they are still in production..cause I know MS202II has been discontinued long time ago...

As Yamaha allowed you to buy only one pc at a time...you may have the budget...cause i think one is about $ 200 + after discount and then buy the other half if you have the budget..so that you can enjoy the stereo sampling of the CP33....

The sound quality of the MSP3 is quite decent....

Hope that helps....
