Appetizer, as for my starter...
What are the basic tools needed to diy & where can I get them?
This is my no.1 weapon of choice available @diy store, to hammer those nasty rusty blues screws:
Btw where can I find other guitar specific tools, for eg. nut files?
thank you...
Hi Dinky, Yup. I really hope that DIYers will post guitar pics, How-to links, tools & techniques etc. to pass on the inspiration and knowledge on DIY work. I am learning the tricks myself. For now, I am trying hard to learn finishing techniques. I'll post some pics of my 2009 projects soon. Btw, are you using only 4 screws on your tremolo bridge? I've tried using just the two outer most screws and the results have been very good. Smoother control and strings continue to stay in tune.
eieio... personally, most of my tools are what you can find at good hardwarestores around kelantan lane area. Some of my tools are DIY too. having started out as a technical student really helped me in understanding the basics. The biggest problem for me now is to try move the basics to proficiency and mastery... hehehe
As for nut files... hmmm....
