eieio... wah you sunburst addict ah? The one on the right SRV styled issit? The die grinder how is it? got power? One of these day's I take photo of my DIY routing tool. Yup, I'm trying various kinds of dyeing and staining... I've successfully.......... destroyed a couple of bodies with my experiments

Dinky, no need to be apologetic... the day you become pro... you'll probably won't be so excited about posting in threads like this . Maybe you may want to try wet sanding your guitar body (google it) before you give it a few coats of clear metallic lacquer.

bedokkids... I'm not sure about CNC, no contacts... but I think a good router can carve out a guitar. I've one body blank at home which I am still thinking what to do with it. That can really wait until I am absolutely sure.

Should be up in a couple of months... as soon as I sell of 2 of my guitars to make room for these... http://soft.com.sg/forum/guitar-buy-...new-parts.html

observer, Yours look great,

for a start , i am gotta try doing some guitar set-up on my own,

honestly, i been to a local one in east zone, which i find service unsatisfactory when i wanna my guitar action to be lowered.

until i found on the net this method called neck shimming!!,

shouldnt be unfamiliar to all.( but alias i just found out)
haha

arthur, ya come to think of it
didnt realize until you point that out,
like natural & retro colors too, pastel & sparkles blink blink hehe
i recycle the forest, cheap alternatives too & save the planet! kekeke

hey obzervr we got the same metal racks
you got high level of observation, yea its srv headache hah
did you stay up all night just to shoot those virgin bodies yea?
as for that grinder, its way too fast no speed control & gets hot fast
not advisable for detail guitar work but great for metal, rust gone in 6 seconds.. lol

ps. what wood are those, 1piece? 2piece? give me a hint if you got extra raw uncut slab to spare..

a CNC carver would be really really expensive.

for starters i would go with a jigsaw, plunge router, drill press, that should be enough for a strat body at least.

bedokkids, those discovery moments are precious aren't they? and at times quite costly too

eieio... nope I didn't just stay up for shooting the bodies... I stayed up to give the bodies another coat of finish. These were pre cut bodies. Both Ash. One is a three piece, Asian Origin. The one with the straight grains is Canadian two-piece book matched. I've got a few one-piece bodies that I'm keeping for a couple more years (until the time my skills have been perfected). As for the wood slab, I've no spares. That won't be touched until I am first able to cut a pair of book-matched spalted maple top perfectly.

Taypeng, If there is a drill press already, attaching a spiral saw bit could be a better option than the jigsaw.
