more old ehx favourites, now in the XO chassis

i thought i got over pedal gas after spending so much on my rig.

but new pedals, new gas. especially the worm man. GASSS

it took abit of staring to realise that the power jacks on those things are 24V and 40V DC... wth...

yep...24V is not too bad. some of the older EHX pedals like the BMS require that. But 40V is really something else.

strange that. the other pedals that were rehoused like the DMM and Micro-Synth had their required voltage reduced from 24V to 9V when they got the XO treatment, so kinda odd that the freq analyzer would need 40, since the trapezoid enclosure version needed 40 too. there must be a computer in there :S

ehx has been known to screw around with power though... there were theories that the dmm and new bms had their voltages stepped up internally

but even at 9v, ehx pedal (especially new ones) had alot of annoying limitations, such as reverse polarity, non-boss style jacks, cannot daisy chain etc etc
