Hey guys, I own a Radial Tonebone Bassbone. The DI box has an effects loops which acording to the manual states that I need to plug in a TRS cable with two mono outputs(or also known as a 'Y' cable with a 1/4" stereo head output to two mono 1/4" heads).
Graphically, I'll think it looks like this:

Okay my 'drawing' sucks, but it IS an attempt. I'm sure you guys understand what I mean. ARGH okay, pictures paint a thousand words so here:
However, with the above setup, there is NO signal output when I stomp on the 'loop' function on the DI. It will be good to note that when I try to plug the Y Cable to my bass, sound only comes out if I use the RED end of the Y cable. Also, when I plug something on the PURPLE end in the above scenario, the signal gets cut off.
Anybody can enlighten me on HOW TO USE THE EFFECTS LOOP? Really will appreciate ANY help at all.
