Default inquiry

HI all,

Just a quick inquiry,.

would you prefer
VOODOO LAB pedal power 2
--------OR---------
Jim Dunlop DC Brick

to power up your pedal?

I am currently using VS 1 spot but cant seem to power up 7 effect in daisy chain (at least the last one)

Bass-->Planet waves tuner-->Hartke bass attack-->EHnano bassballs-->EH Blogger-->CE2B-->Echo-->Bass EQ

the blogger doesnt seem to work in the chain, but plugging the 1spot directly is ok.

Please advise.

tenk u ,..

i think u over shot the 1500 for the 1-spot, i bought the seekz stompers ac adaptor $30 and it goes all the way to 2500. i go try later see if it works and how quiet it is during recording ;p cos i feel a bit bitter than a good power supply with multi voltage 120/240 cost an arm and a leg.

i think the t-rex is not fully isolated so depends on the power supply it might not be as clean as the voodoo labs

according to the instruction manuals the ehx bass blogger will not work on a daisy chain, so you would need something with isolated power outputs

bro lordie, did u mean regulated? i'm getting confused by the jargon

think he means isolated as in isolated outputs. the T-Rex Fuel Tank is does not have isolated outputs but the Fuel Tank Jr does. Got 5 isolated outputs so you would need to daisy chain off one. I'm powering 9 pedals with it so you should not have a problem.

if not wrong, lordie is refering to the isolated outlet from the pedal power. Each outlet is like having its own individual 9v supply to the pedal.

dunlop dc brick is actually like a glorified version of the one spot. Each of the outlet is still tapping from single 9v supply and the outlets on the brick itself, is like the usual dc chain.

for t rex supply, theres 1 model with isolated supply for the 12v outlet only and another 2 different model with individual isolated 9v supply

info from here

ahh yes... then isolated it is

some ehx pedals such as the blogger and micro POG can't be daisy chained... so they only work with their own power supply or through a power brick with isolated outputs. some don't even work with batteries
