Default Can i get rid of the noise?

Hi all, recently when i am playing my bass, i get a noise when I increase the volume of the amp. If strangely when my fingers touches the bass strings, the noise went off. when i take away my fingers from the bass strings, the noise came back. Can anyone tell me what is the problem? the bass guitar or the amp?

It's got to do with grounding + shielding.

Either your bass or amp isn't grounded, so whenever you touch the strings, you end up becoming the ground.

defintely not grounded .. cherns this was the same problem i faced with the audere the previous time ..

anyway, in electrical terms your eletronics are "floating" they don't have a place to flow out to .. so most probably you have to ground your pots to your cavity ground .. or just connect another ground to your jack via all your pots .. it should solve the problem ..
