depends on what u want. if u want long ringing notes, usually its the badass bridge. if u are anal abt your tuning and intonation, usually u'll get those with the supermicro tuning bridge.
i'm using the stock fender bridge on my aerodyne with graphtech saddles... i asked cherns to help me bring in a hipshot vintage bridge, because it's the only thing that will fit into the bridge cavity of my bass
main thing you wanna look out for is the design. the idea is for the bridge to transfer energy from the strings into the body. if the bridge is flimsy or poorly designed, alot of energy will be lost at the bridge itself, and that will affect your tone and sustain. mass matters less than good design, though it does add weight to the bass body to prevent neck dive.
the best way is also the most expensive way, which is to experiment lah bro
For strats: Apart from American Fender Trems (due to the side intonation screw design), Fishman Powerbridge Trem (Due to Piezo Saddles) and Trems w Vintage Saddles (which i retain for cosmetic purposes), I change all my strat copies saddles to roller saddles. Faced with lesser out of tune problems when using the trem bars after the switch.
