i tried the tobias growler 5 string at G77 (a relative to the MTD)... very well built instrument and big beefy tone. but the strings were dead. so i can imagine if it had a fresh set of strings. cost? 2.5K man.

Its a very bright bass great for slap n the like. But its very2 versatile i usually di rock bass kinda thing but fingerstyle n it works great.I got it 2nd hand and the previous owner modded it by installing another preamp so it runs on 18V, n tts y u see the 6 knobs actually it was only 3 knobs. The electronic compartment darne packed. I like the neck as its not as hefty as other bass necks, i play guitar mainly n bass as a side so i wanted a bass with a neck tts not too far in terms of feel from a guitar neck. N yeah since its not a very well known brand i got it at a great price too. Much2 less than the growler....
